New tranny from Marlin Crawler

Well I just ordered my hd w56 from Marlin Crawler, great customer service and a great price.I will post up pics of the old and new when I pick up the new one.All but 4th gear in my old one whine so it'll be a nice change. With the new modified motor and 4.88's and now a new tranny this thing is going to outlive me.

haha,I know.It started out just whining in 5th,then 3rd,2nd,1st,and now 4th is the only one the doesn't.It pops out of 1st gear now too.It has 245,000 on it so it had a good run.

I picked it up today. This guy really believes in his work,he autographed it,put a stamp and serial # with his name on it and stamped his logo on it.His name is literally all over it.I am puting it in today with a centerforce clutch.I also bought a flywheel from him too with a .026 step on it for a little more bite.I almost don't want to put it in the truck cause it's so clean.

I took a couple of pics today,I didn't know a tranny was supposed to be this clean The old one was dark brown.I'm just waiting on my centerforce dual friction to arrive now.

Well it's in now, really quiet going through the gears now.I went with a marlin crawler resurfaced .026 flywheel,Centerforce dual friction clutch, new pilot bearing and a centerforce throwout bearing. Now with the clutch lightly pushed in I get a screatching noise but it goes away when all the way in or out, just does it with light pedal.I can also hear, what I think is the wieghts on the clutch chattering. It grabs much better than the old one did, definatley more power getting to the ground.Any ideas on the screatch?I'm hoping I didn't press the throwout bearing hub into the wrong side of the throwout bearing.
