I can't find any info on a factory installed alarm (keyless entry) on a 90 4Runner.
Might be an aftermarket alarm.

it is from toyota security, the origional keyfob says toyota, the valet button says toyota, the brain is under the factory carpet under the drivers seat, when it goes off it honks the factory horn the dealer will program it for 100 bux, and id rather not pay them.

Found it

its a TVSS (Toyota Vehicle Security System) ,Locate a small hole in the ECU, turn the key on to run, engine off and push the button in till the status monitor goes steady on, within 4 seconds, push the button on the transmitter, the horn will sound when it has acknowledged it. PS, newer RS 3000 transitters will replace the TVSS ones and are much more durable. ;-)

On my truck this TVSS ECU was located on the passanger side behind the glovebox.

Oh' the LX450 has it under the drivers seat also. I could have looked at my Lexus info for that. But it's good you found it.
