are you on a pretty good basis with Outback imports?? i hear rumor that the law might change from 15 years to 25 year old vehicles being allowed to import...any value to that rumor?

Canyon Creek Toyota has a whole bunch of imports from Japan. The have a couple of the smaller turbo diesel land cruisers. Check it out some time. They seem to bring them in quite often.

Actually that's my girlfriend's truck and yes she is.
It is currently sitting in my driveway awaiting an engine rebuild. The engine seized for some unknown reason and we're trying to track down parts for it. Looks like I got it all just about figured out and hopefully the rebuild can begin next week.
The 3L is supposed to be bulletproof and although the 2Lx's have had head problems the 3L is not known for this defect. I have a 1990 Surf from Outback and love everything about the truck except it's lack of power. I've looked into different mods and there isn't much one can do to it that is reasonably priced. So I will probably be selling it later this year or sooner if the right price comes along.

Hey Wes There are some chip mods you can source out of oz that are supposed to really wake up the yota diesels. If I get a chance this weekend I'll pm/post the web site for a couple of suppliers. Cheers aviator

Also I am now Living in Calgary and just waiting for the truck to get here from Ottawa. It'll be here in August at the latest, so lets get a Calgary 4Runner Club going.
