An original goal was to make it removable without taking off the canopy, but the way my canopy mounts there would be a good two inch gap between the deck and bed rails. That my friend is a tool trap like no other. So the canopy has to come off, then the mounts (10 screws) then the deck (about 20 screws). The drawer comes out easy though. If your canopy doesnt hang over the bed rails like mine you could make it removable. Of course with a shop I can hook a comealong and some ropes to the rafters and pull my canopy solo. Thats project number one.

I added some more tie downs, 3 pair total. Most stuff ends up near the rear of the truck so I added two pair there:
Then a couple more at the very rear, I may use these to keep cargo off the rear canopy glass:

Oh btw the door is out because I made a pretty big mistake in design. My canopy has a flange all the way around that extends 2 inches into the interior of the bed, so my doors would hit that at about half open. So I popped the canopy, cut the doors down, and screwed and glued the cutoff pieces to the deck, then mounted the hinges to that. Bondo'd the seams and sand, prime and paint. Now all four doors open to 90 degrees. Anyone copying this is well advised to pay close attention to how your canopy mounts. And, if you didn't know, bondo is absolutely fantastic for wood. I use it all the time, in some very high end finish carpentry.
