Brakes sticking?
I have been having problems with my brakes sticking on my 92 4Runner. When this happens the brake pedal gets very hard. It seams to happen randomly and go away randomly. I just replaced both calipers because both my old ones had a piston that was frozen, I thought that might fix it but didn't. I know it is the fronts because my wheels/hubs get very hot after driving like this. Could this be my master cylinder? Not really sure what else would cause this, but my pedal always seems to returns to its normal position.
Any ideas what the cause could be? I would like to get this figured out, the 3.slow becomes really slow when the brakes are dragging. And my new pads won't last long at this rate. Any help would be great.

Yeah the brakes have been bled and that didn't change anything. I might have to get a new master cylinder and try that. Thanks for the input.

Did you get an answer to the sticking brakes?
I am having the EXACT same problem with my 91 Land Cruiser. It's random, and I have replaced calipers, rotors, pads in the front, and the the wheel cylinders in the back. One of the cylinders was bad, and the problem is better, but they still stick at times. if I put my foot under the brake pedal and push up on it, it releases. If you figured out your problem, I'd love to hear the answer. Was it the master cylinder? Could it be the booster?

im having the exact same problem on my 86 pick up. the brakes will randomly lock and it wont move an inch. i have to crack the bleeder on either of the passenger side brakes and it releases. the pedal gets super stiff too. i've replaced the caliper, pads, shoes, rear wheel cylinders, MC, booster, and rubber lines and nothing has helped. i think it has to be the LSPV but i dont know enough about the LSPV to fix it. any advice would be great

Did you by chance figure out the issue? My pickup is kind of doing the same thing but very random, 3 times over the last couple of months. It's a 96 tacoma. I came up to a light and started to brake and when I let off it still feels like the brakes are applied just a little like it's still slowing down. The light turns green so i started going and when I got up around 40 or so the whole pickup started shaking horribly. I pulled over to see if I had a flat tire but nothing appeared wrong and no odd smells so I got back in and started driving, everything was fine. It did this 2 days ago and has been fine since. Any ideas?
