If you can take it apart put some dynamat or other sound/vibration dampening material on it. I say dynamat because it has a self adhesive back, should calm down the vibrations and cheaper then any toyota part from the dealer

Seeing as how you're tearing the mirror apart to do this, you should take pictures and do a writeup. Seems simple, but I'm affraid I'll break something when tugging at the mirrow to get it off.
I'm also having a mirrow vibration that gets annoying.

If not then I'll spring for a keg of something local, tequila maybe...... Either way we'll eat and drink and wheel.
Ah hell we might as well get faced and run down south-east to the coast and hit up some bikini clad ladies and some surf. I know some ladies down in Texas that KNOW how to raise hell on the beach, protection is advised.........

Strange I don't have that little part (though I have seen it on other rigs) but I don't have any vibration issues. Try removing the plastic cover and tightening up the mounting screws to the roof and or mirror arm to the bracket. That should help.

Does everyones truck vibrates enough to move the rearview mirror around?
I know my U-Joints aren't bad, so i'm thinkin it's my tires..
