89 Pickup Starts then dies
Hello all, so I've been reading up on this and a few others have had this problem. (89 PU 22re) So the truck will crank start then die in like 5 seconds. I've checked for vacuum leaks with a can of starting fluid and did not find any. I'm running a bed mounted fuel cell and an msd 2225 pump. Pump runs while truck runs. AFM is working as well. I just rebuilt the motor and went to set timing to no success, at first it wouldn't start but I bought faulty injectors. Rebuilt the old ones and then it would start and die. Egr and air injection are deleted as well. Don't know where to go from here. Any help is highly appreciated! -Dalton... oh and no codes either

Does the pump stop running when the truck stops running? (more particularly, does the pump stop running and then the truck dies) Except for all the modifications you have made, this usually points directly to an issue in the COR-VAF circuit. https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f116...-quits-312747/

UPDATE: Definitely a fueling issue, truck will run off starting fluid. i must have not connected something back properly. Like I said it will start without starting fluid then once it starts to die, a quick spray and it stays running. Added note is that the pump is running the whole time.
