The EFI is a closed-loop system. The ECU will notice that the mixture is wrong (via the O2 sensor) and make adjustments to mixture to get it back where it was before the mod. So unless you can find a way to get the ECU to accept a buggered mixture, the 'chip' isn't going to do much.

I'm currently toying with making a drop-in replacement for the stock ECU that will convert the old school mass-flow EFI to a speed-density system with a wide-band O2 sensor that will allow the engine to run lean or rich depending on the demands.

You will also get the benefit of about 100miles to the tank, and dump raw fuel out of your exhaust, with the occasional bake-fire...cool!

If you are concerned about your mileage and performance, hook up an air/fuel ratio meter. then you know how well your truck is really running!
RB, Dontchya mean Supra AFM?

Well damn i feel stupid* I got the same chip and upon trying to install i came across the same confusion which led me to this thread...Doh! Im telling you guys the web site was real convincing* lol! And after having a chip in my quad and diesel truck that have noticeable differences i figured it wouldn't hurt to try(sounds like i was wrong)... Did anyone ever figure out if this this is even safe using? Or even how to install it? Right now it makes a nice paper weight in the garage, lol!
