3VZE - Fast Idle Air Valve (Problem and Location)
#21
Solution!
I recognize a'lot of the issues people are mentioning on here. I have been experimenting with my intake isr mod and found a few things...
1st: some worn engines have leaking rear main seals, the vacuum on the valve cover hides this until it gets really bad. However, this causes air to come through the rear main seal and into the intake screwing up your air to fuel ratio.
2nd: Removing the valve cover breather to fix this problem will cause a HUGE leak to appear in your bell housing (trust me I've done it)
3rd: To fix this? rebuild the engine.. To temporarily hide it for another 100k? Open the VAFM and richen it up a bit to compensate.
Hope this helps someone, please post if it does...
