1992 Toyota Pickup Keyless Entry Install
I'm installing a keyless entry system in my 1992 4WD truck. Where is the best place to connect in the right and left turn signals? Thanks!

I don't know if I used the best place, but I picked them up at the connector right under the steering column.
While I have your attention, how to you plan to connect to these signals? The dreaded "vampire tap"? I thought I got a much more reliable and cleaner looking connections with barrel crimps.
You remove the connector pin from the body. Remove a ~4mm piece of insulation
Then use a barrel crimp (with crimping tool) to attach your wire to your Entry computer. (True barrel crimps are a little hard to find; I just cut them off a set of fork connectors I already had).
Cover the crimp with heat-shrink, re-install the connector pin to the body, and you have a very reliable, compact connection.

Worked Perfectly
Hey thanks. That did the trick. I connected in in the same location. I wasn't able to find the barrel crimp connectors, so I cut the wire about 1 in behind the plug and used standard solderless connectors. Seems solid and everything is working well. Next project is cruise control. Any advice on good kits?
Thanks Again,
