Oil pressure sender slide-on connector

Hi, besides the dealer and junk yards, has anyone ever seen where you can buy the slide-on plastic connector that is used for the oil pressure senders?

If the connector is trashed out, just crimp 1/4" female insulated connectors on the wires and make sure you get the wires on the correct terminal.

Man, I don't know why I didn't think of that. Sometimes the most obvious things slip right by you. That's what I did and it works great.

Thanks.

Well, the connector fitting on worked great, but the gauge still isn't working. I shot the wires between the connector at the instrument cluster and the connector at the sender and it was good, so I guess the sender or the gauge itself is bad.

Did you replace the pressure sender, or just the connector?

Did you do a SR5 gauge swap? If so you need an different pressure sender than normal or you will fry the gauge. Don't know if this is what you did, but I will throw it out there.

Thanks for the tip. Yeah, I replaced the pressure sender and instrument cluster a couple years ago and it has worked since then. I havnt got around to changing the sender again though. My son is keeping it here while he's deployed with the Navy, so I'm just tinkering with it and fixing little odd and end things while he's gone.

Found a bigger problem yesterday though. The fuel line that is on the passenger side frame rail, where it turns up an goes to the filter, has corroded and split. It started spraying fuel everywhere. I guess that fix is my next project. LOL

So, the oil pressure sender that's on the truck has the little post in the center to connect a wire to. It also has a male blade connector on the case. When the wire is connected to the center post...nothing. When it's connected to the blade connector it appears to work. The gauge reads on the higher side of the normal operation range.

Could this be correct? I just hooked it to the blade connector to see what it would do. Im not convinced this is an accurate reading. What do y'all think? And what is that blade connector on the case for?
