Front Coil springs - 1977 pickup - HELP
Hi,
I have a 1977 Toyota Longbed pickup. 2-WD
The truck needs new front coil springs and custom made ones are $100 each. I am hoping to find something that will work that is a little less expensive.
The front coil springs are:
Hollander interchange Number : 517-52774
I work construction and I need the truck daily so am hoping someone knows the measurements for these springs so I don't have to take them out. I can get the coil count and wire thickness but of course not the relaxed length if that is the techical term....
If you know of anything that fits or if you have spares collecting dust you could get the specs on the would be great.. Really if you have any suggestions at all!
thanks,
Rox.

More info
What I am trying to do with the truck is get rid of the 'drunken monkey' syndrom it has.
The steering box is worn in the middle and I am going to see if I can tighten it a little... Not sure if any of you have tried getting a replacement steering box for a 77 but I am not having any luck here with that.
I have replaced the outer tye rod ends but the rest of the steering linkage and suspension are fine.
So, the coil springs and shocks are on the list too before i do the front end allignment.
Basically it comes down to me not being able to find either the front coil springs or the new steering box to complete the project....
